Something old, something new, all good looking would be our quick summary of Autoban at ICFF. The booth looked cohesive and very pretty, filled with pieces that were obviously done with quality construction, good materials and plenty of wow factor.

We liked the new Box Sofa (2007) and the not-so-new Pumpkin table/stool (2004) designed by Seyhan Ozdemir and Sefer Caglar. These two pieces are part of the De La Espada and Autoban collaboration, with the Autoban-designed furniture being produced by De La Espada in Spain and Portugal and sold around the world, in the US specifically at the De La Espada shops in NY and LA.
We spoke to the reps, hoping that there was a Chicago retailer, but that is still in the works. This is a high end line to watch, full of designs that we think have real longevity.
More into at the Autoban site.
This is by far the nicest post from ICFF yet.
Of all the AT sites I consistently prefer the Chicago listings. I live in the wrong part of the country I guess.

I think it was unanimous after talking to our AT team that this booth was amongst our favourites. In fact that sofa above was my favourite furnishing from the whole show, in terms of an item I'd want in my own home. Each piece in their booth was functionally beautiful in fit and finish. WOW indeed!
