Flavorpill published a fun list yesterday: the 10 best songs about architecture, ranging from Jonathan Richman's Government Center to Hank Williams' Mansion on the Hill. Many of Flavorpill's picks reference the simple architecture of a standard apartment including the "white room with black curtains" of the famous Cream song, the "Norwegian wood" room that the Beatles wrote about, and the "litte room" that the White Stripes poke fun at in their song of the same name...

Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect, by the Decemberists.

Malvina Reynolds's "Little Boxes" by everyone who's ever covered it. First heard it in the documentary "My Father, The Genius" and it stayed with me ever since.

Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi"...
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot

These toe the line between songs about architects/architecture and songs that just mention architects/architecture, but if "Little room" and "Brick house" count...
"City calm down" by Architecture in Helsinki
"The architect has a gun" by Chin Up Chin Up (from the apropos-for-AT album "We should have never lived like we were skyscrapers") which seems to be a reference to...

hey Sydney, you beat me to it but i was going to suggest a Talking Heads song as well - "Don't worry about the government":
I see the clouds that move across the sky
I see the wind that moves the clouds away
It moves the clouds over by the building
I pick the building that I want to live in
I smell the pine trees and the peaches in the woods
I see the pinecones that fall by the highway
That's the highway that goes to the building
I pick the building that I want to live in
It's over there, it's over there
My building has every convenience
It's gonna make life easy for me
It's gonna be easy to get things done
I will relax alone with my loved ones
Loved ones, loved ones visit the building,
take the highway, park and come up and see me
I'll be working, working but if you come visit
I'll put down what I'm doing, my friends are important

@Splomo
Just a tidbit of trivia if you don't already know. (Which you might!) All the covers of Little Boxes were done for the series Weeds as an ever-changing theme song. I love the song, too.

these are kind of obscure and make me a geek, but ...
"Still Life in Mobile Homes" by Japan on the album Tin Drum (1981) - "...we'll make plans for buildings and houses from mobile homes.."
"Jinxed" by the Aluminum Group on Pedals (1999) - "three Miesian boxes form an open plan, on a plaza that takes up a city block..." refers to Daley Plaza and goes on to mention the Calder sculpture nearby.
Actually, I think anything by the Aluminum Group instantly qualifies.
