For those of you participating in the Fall Cure, or those who are thinking of redoing a room, we searched our archives for some budget inspiration. Much progress can be made in a home without spending a lot. Click below for three real-life examples: one makeover under $1,000, one under $300, and one that cost just $90...

Nicole's guest room was an awkward area with very little light. Using paint and a few new purchases, she transformed it into a beautiful space.

The total bill for Nicole's project came in under $1,000. The big ticket item was the Lubi Daybed from CB2; everything else involved reuse of older pieces, handmade curtains, and new paint. Check out this post for more information and links to sources.

When this closet fell apart, it was time for a serious makeover. The project involved painting, organizing, and hanging a new closet system.

The total cost for this closet makeover came in under $300, excluding pieces that already existed in the apartment. Most of the budget went towards the closet hanging system and other smaller organizing items; click here for sources.

Genie's apartment had great light and great bones, but the furniture arrangements weren't functioning well.

With some decluttering, rearranging, and a few new thrift store purchases, her apartment got an overhaul for just $90. See the "before" post here, and the "after" post here.
That last one is dramatic!

Nice to see budget transformations. :)
But I've got $400 to spend on the cure of my whole apartment, not just one room.
Can you show me anything that could help with that?
