Bringing Color Into the Dining Area

When you're looking for places to bring color into your home, don't overlook the dining room. Dining chairs, tablecloths, and (of course) walls are good starting points. Look for photos and options below...

Option #1: Neutral table and colorful chairs. Bright chairs go well with a more subdued table. Shown: Eames Molded Plastic Side Chair, $229 at DWR and Big Sur Table, $1,699 at Crate & Barrel.

Option #2: If you have a hard time committing to color, bring it in with changeable accessories. Shown: Jackfruit Tablecloth from Anthropologie, $98 and Stockholm Table from IKEA, $429.

Option #3: Dress up dining room walls with wallpaper, a great backdrop for elegant dinner parties. Shown: Elizabeth Wallpaper in Turquoise from Graham and Brown, $40 per roll and Barn Table from Maine Cottage, $2,090.

I have a small counter-height dining table from Room and Board. I want to add some design and color to it, but a runner would overwhelm it and most placements are too big. any suggestions for dressing up a smaller table?
