In our earlier post on David Netto we mentioned how much we love the blue-and-yellow color combo, so we figured we'd elaborate on how these two colors work together. It's a tricky balance...we're not talking about the IKEA logo color scheme, but rather the buttery blues and yellows of a well-designed space like Monet's bedroom (image via Galen Frysinger). Click below for more blue and yellow spaces.

The Japanese prints in Monet's bedroom would have added an oomph of color. These have faded since his day.

Thanks for showing the picture of Monet's bedroom. That house is my dream home. If you want to talk color, let's talk about Giverny.

that wall in the Giverny pic is an amazing shade. anyone have an idea of a color that might match up the same? It is exactly what I'd love to paint my bedroom

The Netto bedroom and Catherine's Bedroom are sooo beautiful.

It looks best with black or another very dark color - otherwise it can look too much like a kid's room I think. The Netto room gets it just right, and most of the others have black in there somewhere. The Domino room doesn't and i think it ends up too cutesy and unfocused.

I'll add the link to our salon....the yellow and blue look great with the furniture and hardwoods in there....we love the combo in the salon and we did the space in them about 2.5 years ago.
There are 2 sets of pictures at this link with interior shots...
