We love this kitchen from Inspace, not only for the Eames chairs and Saarinen table but also for the subdued gray-green and off-white color palette. This classic color combo is very Martha. Although it can feel a little buttoned up, it also looks great with a shot of bright color...

OH I love this combination. There's something so creamy and serene about it.

I love it. Very calming, might be good in the bedroom? I think you probably need good light though.

What is the color in the Fournier House kitchen? It's a perfect grey-green. Any chance of getting some info on the manufacturer?

I adore gray and off white. It's so dreamy. I am currently in the process of doing this with my bathroom, and even with only one coat of paint it looks lovely already.

My bedroom is grey and off white buttery white and I love it. I add some color and take away color it lends itself to go either way.
I just looked through Inspace website, wow so many inspiring, dreamy, beautiful interiors.

In Atlanta, we painted our bedroom Restoration Hardware's Silver Sage, a lovely gray-green. We liked it so much that when we moved to Richmond, we painted our bedroom the same color. It's really wonderful--changes subtly due to time of day, season and weather. It can look a silvery gray, green gray or bluish green.

So funny. I just finished painting my whole house in grays, greens, blues and off whites.
My kitchen cabinets are almost the same as the kitchen above, but perhaps a shade darker: Benjamin Moore Caldwell Green, which is a deep spruce blue-green-gray. The 2nd choice was BM Creekside Green which is a lighter and more subdued green gray.
I also came up with a nice subtle green gray by mixing about 2/3 BM Brushed Aluminum with 1/3 BM Tree Moss. In some lights it looks gray, in others green. Very timeless and soothing.
My new favorite color however is from Miller Paint. It's a gray with just a hint of purple in it - I think it's called smokey wings. I used it in my bathroom and it just pops and is a nice change from other grays that seem to either have blue or green tints in them.

I don't think the color combo is "very Martha." I do think it is very Belgian / Vandervoort, particularly when combined with the large format bluestone (or possibly slate) tile.

Bill Blass used this color combination in his famous New England farmhouse. His style was neoclassical, but the color scheme looks great with MCM furniture too.

I think the first room is the definition of gloomy.
