So seventies (in a good way). In the Spring Cure, we've seen a lot of people painting their spaces in yellows and greens with natural wood furnishings. It's a great color combo for spring, and we thought we'd use their style as a jumping off point for today's color combo...

hrm. Nope, don't like this color combo in those particular hues. Maybe I'd like it better with pear as the core color, with butter and cocoa accents.
I discovered that I when I looked to the colors that look best on me (and that I feel good in) for my home palette, it was easy to choose colors that coordinate throughout my house and feel great to be in. I'm wondering if other people have done this, either intuitively or intentionally?

Not so into this combo either. My yoga studio has yellow walls which are beautiful, but I have no yellow in my house or wardrobe. I believe colors you dress in (as long as you are actually aware of colors that look good on you) will be the perfect foundation for your home. Saying this I have light blue, ivory, black and red. Pretty much my wardrobe.
I look terrible in "neutrals", but my sister in law's entire house is tan, beige and yellow...she's bright red head.

Anyone know where the barrel lamps in the top photo come from? Or, better, suggestions of places that do barrel pendants in a wide variety of fabrics?

I absolutely adore this combo to be honest. It's fresh and universal. I especially love the Pottery Barn bedding.
I could never take my wardrobe and make it into a color scheme for my apartment; I'd get so bored with greys, blacks and reds. I love muted colors with my pale pale skintone but my surroundings must be bright!

The lamps in the top photo are from Galbraith and Paul http://www.galbraithandpaul.com/
They have lots of sizes in many of their amazing hand-screened textiles. Room and Board carries some of their stuff, too.
