I've never been much of a yellow fan, but it really works here.

I like shaker simplicity and have always liked shaker yellow

thanks to a cheap furniture find, i accidentally ended up with this yellow as the primary accent color in my condo. it looks spectacular against my dark grey-blue walls and heavy natural woodwork! and it just plain makes me happy.
