Color Combo: Shaker Yellow with Natural Wood

When we visited Hancock Shaker Village in Massachusetts a couple of weeks ago, we saw the most beautiful yellow trim in one of the bedrooms. This yolk-colored yellow was used not only for interior trim, but for floors and exteriors as well. Against the natural wood of a classic Shaker chair, it looked so warm and inviting. We've rounded up a few more examples for inspiration...

Thanks for sharing, love the color yellow and the simplicity of Shaker furniture is calming, as medusa said.

I've never been much of a yellow fan, but it really works here.

thanks to a cheap furniture find, i accidentally ended up with this yellow as the primary accent color in my condo. it looks spectacular against my dark grey-blue walls and heavy natural woodwork! and it just plain makes me happy.
