
This image from Japanese design firm Leif caught our eye. Besides the very cool striped wood chairs, the use of a bright interior door forms the focal point in this room. We love the look, especially with the unconventional choice of a bright blue door...
It's a fun and surprising design decision, and we think it could work well with a lot of styles. The trick seems to be to choose a shade that compliments your room's palette, while adding a jolt of unexpected color.

i'm actually planning a bright red door. bright doors are an irish tradition. i'm just waiting for it to get warm enough to take the front door off. i'll be in the fall cure ;)
