Curious Gifts/Decor from Jayson Home & Garden

Maine pinecone wreath, $28 (would also make an easy DIY)

With so much stuff out there to holiday-up your place, it gets a bit overwhelming. Personally, we tend to focus on one or two seasonal pieces only. This year, it's just our stockings on the mantle and some birch candles. We like items that you could give as gifts or keep up at home long into the winter and after the holiday madness has died down (nothing more annoying than the folks whose lights and plastic Santa yard decor are still up in March, right?). We sought a few things out at Jayson Home & Garden, whose stock is generally off the beaten path, sometimes a little bit kooky, and often beautiful.

The Carthage lantern is very much like a caracol, or snail drying vase.

it's not that easy to make a pinecone wreath, especially so symmetrically!
