Floral Motif Pumpkin Carving

We'll be carving pumpkins this weekend so we're scouting out ideas. Although we love a good pumpkin portrait, we're also quite charmed by these flora-inspired patterns. More designs and a link to instructions after the jump...

Beautiful! I've found that a melon baller makes a great pumpkin carving tool. Use it to scoop all the way through the sides of the pumpkin, or stop before you break through the pumpkin flesh to create areas that glow softly. Et voila - a polka-dot pumpkin!
