Google Decorator: The Most Glamorous Room

2007-09-14-brocade.jpg

2007-08-08-ouija.jpgTime to dust off the all-knowing oracle of design, the Google Decorator. Last time, we were led on a rollercoaster review of the items in the Most Beautiful Room - today we went for something slightly more esoteric - we wanted to see the pieces that would make up...the Most Glamorous Room.

Our request for the "Most Glamorous Chair" was met with a photo of the Brocade Side Chair, made from bent teak for Juice, Inc. by James Owen Design. Nice start - we agree that it is pretty glam. Feeling encouraged, we asked for a peek at the Most Glamorous Sofa ...

and got this - the Bathtub Chaise (!).

Available from the UK's Bouf Superboutique, this sofa was inspired by Breakfast at Tiffanys, which while quite a glamorous film, just doesn't fully swing us over on this particular item as all that glam (and not very comfy looking, frankly). It is unique, though, as part of a limited edition of 20, which we suppose adds a bit to the glamour-factor.

To stand alongside, we needed the World's Most Glamorous Cocktail (not coffee, that's just not glam enough) Table. And Voila! The Paris Apartment Lucite Table was revealed...

Cute, and girly, and a bit Hollywood, it fits the bill. Next up: the lighting choice.

The Google Decorator speaks - it is Ida Wanler's Glamorous by Night lamp

Which is kinda cheeky - a plain jane by day and a glitzy lamp by night.

As we add more pieces to our room, the overall effect becomes an increasingly comic book interpretation of glamour, so we might as well embrace the humor in Google's final choice, the rug...

It's Twinkle Living's Glamour Girl mat.

Have a good and glamorous weekend!

Glam? Sham is more like it.
Aside from the cute bathmat, you'd have to pay me to put any of this dross in my home.
