The turquoise "pop of color" and the zebra rug are very now, even if there are a lot of antiques.

I agree with Lisa. I would also like to add that I think this is a hideously done room (with all due respect to the zebra).

The book doesn't look vintage. But I'd have to disagree about the rug, they're an old-fashion symbol of African colonialism.

The giant indo-asian mirrored wall mounted coffin thing kinda freaks me out. I voted "now" based on the chandelier and the smaller framed piece of art, but now I'm thinking maybe 60s because of the murano ashtray and what appears to be a cig box on the table in the foreground.

These polls/contests are mucho fun Janel!

I think the layout is a bit more haphazard than would get past a design mag editor today (the two round tables and the zebra rug almost looks like an afterthought). I voted 90s - some decent furniture but it's a tiny bit awkward.

I guessed now after noticing the rug being reflected in the mirrored sideboard. The room is pretty heinous and probably cost more money than god to put together.

AT, where did you find this hideousness?? So ostentatious.

I'm going to toss the '80s into the mix -- if only to note that faux-deco was quite fashionable then, and it's conceivable that someone with money might have indulged in the fad with real vintage pieces. Turquoise was also big, as were animal prints (particularly on spandex pants). Gold-marbled mirrors and dark glass coffee tables were '80s thangs, too.

Makes me feel pretty darn good about … my (humble) apartment! Eeks, indeed!

By the way that pelt is felted, I think that may be a real zebra skin rug (gross). Based on that and the chandlier, I'm guessing 1980s as well.

I was sure it was the 30s.... until it wasn't an option on the survey :(

This is a tricky one - I'd believe any era really and I agree with all the comments so far. [I don't find it hideous though - wouldn't want to live there but I wouldn't mind the visit] It feels a little "mo-derne" to me because of the way the pictures are framed - the one on the left - behind glass... the one on the right - with an unusually large frame (and not centered) feels too self aware/post modern to be any time prior to the 90s... but this is a great pic coz it really is hard to place. Good work! Even though it has a 60s homage to the orient feel... I'll choose "now" because of the placement of items on the table - they have that modern oh-so-casual (but carefully arranged) look to them; and because of the mix of so many metals - pewter/silver/copper/gold that requires modern chutzpah - I say "now"!!!

Totally now. I remember seeing this last year or so.

I saw the table and chairs and figured it had to be at least as current as the 70's. Then there is the Zebra rug, the Chandelier and the carefully arranged items placed 'haphazardly' on the coffee table cinched it as 'NOW'.
What is that HUGE wood piece on the right of the picture though? It looks like it belongs in a church.

The large wooden piece on the left totally conceals a flat screen and the sofa is positioned directly across from it. My vote: today.

Now, though Lord knows the Zebra has jumped the shark by a good 2 or 3 years.

The lighting in the room (or rather, the way the photographer has chosen to use the natural lighting) and the color of the walls is making me think "now". I could definitely be wrong, though.

Zebra rugs have never been my thing. I'm just not an animal print kind of person.

At first I was going to vote now, but that would be too easy....riiight?? My gut tells me that this may be from the late 90s b/c AT is very tricky with the 'guess the decade' game.

I voted "Now" because of the dark-stained floors. I think that's a relatively recent trend, but I could be wrong.

It's all in the ceilings- looks like all the modern and trendy condo buildings that shot up a few years back. It's a now.

Without reading any comments or answering the question, I'd have to say now: the zebra figure rug and architecture of the apartment tell it's the current decade. And unless this person was way ahead of trends, you could also place it in the 90's.

Also agree with Lisa. The mix of modern chairs, the ample doses of chinoiserie and the zebra rug all say NOW to me.

I'd say it's pretty current: aluminum looking chairs and animal print rug

The paint color is what makes me say that it's now. Especially paired with the dark wood floors. I almost said 90's because of the round table, but I don't think that this room would have been put together like this before 1995. This was a good one!
