Inspiration: Amy Rice at Nest

nestpillows1020.jpgLast week we gave you a preview of Terrence Payne's work at Nest. Here's a quick look at some of what we saw from Ms. Rice - cages, zinnias, pom-poms, pinks along with her signature stencils and tiffany-esque blue. Repurposers, take note!

Amy's recurring themes felt fresh in new forms, including pillows, found furniture and more.

A floral grows: a charming addition on an old enamel tabletop, macro-stenciled on a stock sisal rug, applied to a found chair back, then stitched just once on its seat.

We can't fathom the time invested in this pom-pom repurposed chair and ottoman, but would be an antidote to a long day at the office.

Turquoise cages recurred throughout, including these that held small artworks.

The zinnia theme refreshed a found chest and Amy's stenciled themes appeared on a cluster of round canvases. Cage and signature tiffany-esque blue, check.

The ottoman makes me think a pom-pom rug would be awesome.
