The New Majestic Hotel in Singapore describes its aesthetic as "heritage chic," a blend of vintage and new styles. To achieve the right mix, the hotel enlisted the help of local artists and designers who created concepts for the rooms. The results are a hodgepodge of mid-century furniture, specially commissioned pieces, and quirky details...

The building dates to 1928, but recent renovations have opened up the floorplan and divided the hotel into 30 rooms.

Artists commissioned to create room concepts include fashion stylist Wykidd Song, film director Glen Goie, graphic designer Theseus Chan, and other multi-talented individuals.

The dining room is decorated with Moooi chandeliers, mod chairs, and walls upholstered in green suede.

Vintage fans, film equipment, and medical supplies are used as accessories throughout the hotel. Many rooms are decorated with wall paintings by local artists.
