Inspiration: Window Displays from Pierre Frey

French company Pierre Frey specializes in high-end upholstery fabrics with diverse influences. Collections range from modern neutrals to ornate 18-century European patterns to playful, graphic prints. The Pierre Frey website features a special section for their window displays, which combine patterns in interesting ways...

Most of the furnishings in these photographs are upholstered in solid colors. Pattern enters each arrangement in the form of wallpapered accent walls, mismatched pillows, and bold rugs, while symmetrical arrangements create the foundation for layer on layer of textiles.

I love the idea of creating a "window" where none exists, especially the backdrop in the first photo. It gives me all kind of ideas for things that would not be expensive to do but would create a great focal point.
