So rich, so fresh, so light, so cool...we had a tough time picking our favorite rooms by Frank Roop who "believes in creating original environments that are ‘couture’. To achieve this it is essential that the ingredients that go into his projects are unique; almost all of the furniture and furnishings he uses are either antique or of his own exclusive design."

the upholstered settee at the end of the bed (bedroom with fireplace) with all the bright pillows... like an extension of the bed itself. I imagine myself coming home, jumping up on top of it, and falling down into the bed... ahhhh, home sweet home. And suddenly kicking off the covers, they have a place to land, not the floor.

My first-look response at these interiors is that they're a bit too precious for my taste. The seemingly-forced, "look-at-me" eclecticism doesn't really work for me. "Couture" doesn't come to mind when I look at these images.
