Yesterday we posted about our weekend stay at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Pisa, Italy. One of the most standout design/antique elements was this incredible chandelier. While all of our photos certainly do not do the visual experience justice, enjoy this mini tour of some communal rooms in this 19th century hotel...

Isn't Italy great! My wife & I just returned from our first trip there and loved it. I just wanted to tell you about a great little modern design, great use of small space hotel we stayed in while in Venice in September. It's called Ca Dei Dogi and can be found at www.cadeidoge.com and according to the owner it was a church and an Fila store before he renovated it 3 years ago. We stayed a couple nights and our room while small was great. It had cool built-in dressers and cabinets that were almost "boat"-like...beautiful smooth crushed marble walls ( I forget what the process is called...) and highly efficient baths. We looked into the other rooms and they all were different size, shape color and decor and they all shared the little touches that were form & function nicely done in a small space...and a great rooftop deck. Have a fantastic trip!
