Mismatched Bedside Tables

bethguest020509.jpgSupposing you're all about symmetry, the idea of mismatched bedside tables might make you bonkers. I, however, have always lived this way -- steering clear of too often (if ever) buying "sets". Like using chairs as bedside tables, pairing two side tables that were not meant for each other is a way to personalize the most personal room in the house. Shown here, mismatched bedside tables from Beth's Oklahoma house tour. More great examples below:

A good idea is to try following links to previous articles. This bedroom has been featured in a house tour, which is linked above, and again a couple days after that. It's not always going to help answer your own question, but it's a great place to start. Quite often the source of items indirectly featured are contained in the links to other articles, other blogs, and merchants and manufacturers. It's also fun to browse stuff they skipped mentioning, look at a more complete article or other things made and/or sold by the same person or company.

I read the comments in the house tour, linked in this article, and someone asked where the bedspread came from. The owner of this space answered that it came from Anthropologie. Who knows whether she bought it recently or a couple seasons ago, such that it is no longer available? Anthropologie.com knows. It is currently available. Now go use that internet!
