Ever since we spotted this modern white apartment on David Netto's site we've been fantasizing about moving in. It's got our mind on that dangerous track that starts with "if we only had the money..." but when we snap ourselves back to reality, we can find a lot of ideas to be used in our own home. Click below to see them...

Artwork is the highlight of this apartment. We love the groupings of black-and-white photographs with intermittent colorful pieces (all set off with white mats and thin neutral frames).

The floors in this space are so striking. Dark hardwoods and white walls are balanced by simple, striped area rugs that create a little bit of interest without overwhelming the room.

Almost all the mostly-modernist furniture is neutral: rich wood tones, beiges, browns. Color is focused in the artwork and the fabrics.

We love the little bit of Old Hollywood drama in the bedroom. The geometric pattern on the rug looks great paired with the soft, curvy lines of the bed. This is one of our favorite color schemes: blue and yellow.

A basic black-and-white palette lets texture come to the forefront. David Netto's use of stripes is so subtle and smart...they wander through the entire apartment, shifting a little in each room, moving from the floors to the walls and back again.

The designer's specialty: kids' rooms. You can spot a number of pieces from the Netto Collection in this nursery.

How depressing. The photo collection is worth more than my entire net worth. Just the Diane Arbus twins is worth more than my apartment.
At least I can have a neutral palette and a striped rug.

I'm with Lisa H. All I could think of as I perused the GORGEOUS pics was money, money, money. I will always have a beautiful apartment but never THIS beautiful!

its killing me! Sugimoto, Arbus, Muniz!! My eyes never even made it to the furniture -- the art collection is totally envious!

Check out the other projects on his website...i think i am in love.....truly beautiful--classic, but never stuffy. Clean, but lived in and full the way homes should be. sigh. and don't get me started on the art....

Thanks a lot, AT. We're all so depressed now. Can you please show us some charmless white-box apartments with views of a brick wall? Oh, and maybe some 1980s kitchen renovations?

That empty hallway is the size of my entire apartment.

Sorry, but I find it rather boring, especially in comparison to some of the European places we've been seeing here lately. The most exciting part of it was the juxtaposition of the red Prouvé dining chairs with the red children's chair and table (which they don't make anymore).
Particularly dislike the beds and the rugs and carpeting.

I am in love with all things David Netto, he's also a gentleman, no pretensiousness there whatsoever!! I would love to know the color of the bedroom wall. I think I can afford the paint...I think. Can anyone suggest a similar color?
