We thought we'd wrap up bedroom month with some serious, all-out eye candy. Novo Casa Trancoso is a Brazilian home designed by New York husband and wife team, Cortney and Robert Novogratz of Sixx Design. This private vacation home is rented out to visitors, but since we're not going to Brazil anytime soon, we decided to stop by for an online visit...

Our favorite part of the home is the bubble gum pink shower. This color is tough to pull off. We've seen it applied towards disastrous results, but here the pink goes perfectly with the honey-colored wood.

The canopy beds are simply dressed with lightweight coverlets and mosquito nets tied like curtains to the bedposts.

We love the little details in this photo: the Tord Boontje Garland Light above the bar, the framed black and white photos on the wall, and the fruit platter resting on top of an ice bucket.

The Novogratzes are currently applying their bedroom design skills to a boutique hotel project on the New Jersey shore which we can't wait to see. They also have a book coming out in April. For more of their designs, click here. To see the full photo slideshow from Novo Casa Trancoso, click here.

Nice house! As a brazilian and a person who already had been in this beautiful beach village, there´s lot of Trancoso style, like bright and happy colors, a lot of wood, natural fabrics, the bed...Beautiful :) The only thing I don´t agree with this decoration is Tord Boontje lamp and the golden pig. I think the lamp is beautiful, but doesn´t fit this place...And the golden pig...No coments.

The golden pig is kitsch... and the kitsch is part of brazilian culture. Here, we call it BREGA... it's very fun !!!

I liked the pink -- it goes beyond hot. I also like the Tord Boontje lamp. You know, you can get a number of good varieties of Tord Boontje light fixtures from MoMA, and they're not expensive.
That pig. It's very fetal looking and it comes in a variety of finishes. I see they have the gold fetal pig. It's a 2008 design cliche that hopefully will go the way of trophy deer. It has all the charm of a pickled biological specimen.
