Recipe for Style: Shipley & Halmos Office

So many good decor ideas in one space. The very home-y workplace of Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos is packed with style from top to bottom. Take a long look:

The ingredients that go into this style mix:

old fashioned desks
pure white walls with honey colored wood floors
eclectic artwork (lots of portraits, cool framed poster, photos and a fish!) hung in an even more eclectic manner (including some framed pieces lined up on the floor)
a large mirror used as the backdrop to a desk
lots of natural light
industrial style metal stair treads
funky modern light fixture reflected in the mirror
a big vintage schoolroom map
a simple work stool and a top of the line task chair
peacock feathers instead of flowers
...and unapologetic stacks of magazines

Wow, that's great.

I love having "levels". I would spend all my time sitting on the shelf-y stairs. Who needs chairs?

This makes me want to raise the dining room side of my living area by a foot.
