Design wizardry. In Japan, Front Design combines motion capture of invisible pen strokes and rapid prototyping in the Sketch Furniture Project.

Sketch Your Furniture in the Air
From the clip:
Motion capture technology records a line drawn in the air and translates it to a 3-d sketch. A laser solidifies liquid plastic layer by layer reproducing the sketch as a piece of furniture.
