Swedish architecture firm Sandell Sandberg specializes in the creation of, among other things, summer and winter homes. Because these holiday homes are used for just part of the year, many of them have small footprints that require the best possible utilization of space. Click below for a few ideas from their projects...

Closets are hidden underneath the stairs of this home. In the bedroom, a line of wardrobes comes out from the wall, creating a nook at the end of the room for office space.

This children's room uses built-in beds to create a sense of privacy. At one end of the room, a tiny home office occupies leftover space.

This summer home is the size of a small shed, but still feels airy inside thanks to the pitched roof and the planks painted white. For more from Sandell Sandberg, click here.
