Compiling our post on picnic equipment the other day, we came across some very useful camping gear that could easily fit into a small apartment as extra seating and collapsible storage. My friends in a small studio always used camping chairs for extra seating when guests came over, not a bad idea!

How smart! I don't have a cohesive set of cooking pots and pans, so you want to bet there's my next purchase ;)

Great idea! After I saw this I ran right out to the local camping store and picked up a couple of metal camp tables to use as bedside tables. I have a really cramped space and they fit perfectly. I'm not 100% sure if I like the look yet, tho.

I have the exactly the same X-frame camp table as the larger one above and I use it indoors and out. It provides extra dining space at my cook outs and buffet or kid's dining space at family dinners. I've used it as a craft table (with my cutting board over the slats) and when I'm done, it rolls up into a case that occupies about 4 square inches (standing upright, against the wall) of my closet's floor space. It's a few inches lower than a standard dining table so I got bed risers to raise it up for adult dining outdoors.
