An Ultra-Organized Garden Shed

If you're a person who gardens a lot, organizing all your supplies can be challenging. Maybe you're lucky enough to have your own backyard shed, or maybe you've got a tiny corner near the back door where you stash your stuff. Whatever your system, this particular shed offers some inspiring (and timeless) ideas...

We snapped these photos a while ago, when visiting Hancock Shaker Village in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The Shakers were known for being good organizers, and we noticed a few applicable ideas in this small space:

Pegs on the wall are great for hats and hanging garden supplies.
Basic glass jars are a cheap and simple way to organize dried items.
Small tins work well for seeds. You can also use a magnetic system to hang them up.
For larger items like rakes and shovels, a freestanding rack wouldn't be too difficult to make with some 2x4s. Or you could hang them on the wall instead.
