apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

The Day of Change, 2009

012009i-want-change.jpgToday, inauguration day, is about change in the largest sense of the word. The choice to make changes in our daily, personal lives rests on these big moments -- when change in leadership and ideas keeps our larger communities in check and thriving. While many small bits of momentum add up to big changes, big changes also allow us to make the choices that shift our personal lives: family, jobs, homes, travel. This give and take and give again can be applied to our homes, too...

The more we change our personal surroundings, the more alive we often feel. A fresh coat of paint, moving a chair from one side of the room to another, changing the sheets, pulling out old family photos and changing up the frames on your walls, changing the music we listen to...

Change doesn't have to mean moving to a new place or spending a lot of money; it's really about fresh ideas, eagerness to grow, and experimenting with the things you love.
