FIRST ROW
- Use a beaded curtain to separate space in disco style. For sources, try the Shimmer Screen or the online selection at Wild Things.
- For a similar look, try a fringe curtain. This image comes from Living Etc, but you can find several options at Wild Things.
- Dan Forlenza's Translucent Room Divider System, an entry into the Apartment Therapy 2009 Design Showcase, is made from an aluminum frame with polycarbonate panels.
- Lucas' Stylish Studio uses the Cubit system to divide the bedroom from the rest of the apartment.

- The Sliding Door Company sells frosted glass panels that can be used to section off space between rooms.
- Vince outfitted his studio apartment with sliding doors from an IKEA wardrobe, and the results look just as good as a more expensive system.
- Tord Boontje's Until Dawn Curtain doesn't provide a ton of privacy, but it looks gorgeous hanging in a doorway or corner.

I'm looking for a white and transparent room divider for my small, south facing studio. I would like it to have a graphic pattern with no animals. Not super expensive. I would prefer a screen, but am open to other ideas, as long as they are not bulky, I need the space. Any thoughts? I live in Washington, D.C.

I would recommend the Modern Translucent Room Divider Wall System from iDivide. I used one to divide my small NYC studio apartment and it worked out great! This is the one shown by designer Dan Forlenza and is available at:
