apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Oh my god that first couch. Too much.

I just bought a beautiful red couch from Pier One! Yay for red.

That Miles Redd room is my screen saver image. I adore it so.

In my last apartment, the kitchen was, for all intents and purposes pink. It wasn't the greatest, but the cabinets were pink, the wallpaper was pink, and even the toilet and tub (the bathroom was enclosed off the kitchen) were pink. From such a point, I began to like red in the kitchen, red and pink, and thought to make my current kitchen such. It's nothing like anything shown, but what I imagine is that the kitchen will highlight these colors making friends with one another. I really liked these pretty/dramatic displays of the scheme.

Those rooms are gorgeous, but I think a lot of people would go crazy in them after a while. The colors are just SO passionate.

I love the tables in the first picture. Anybody have an idea where they are from or where I can find something similar?

Finally, some lucsious color! I feel like neutrals are kind of taking over the decor world, so I love to see these gorgeous rich colors bursting out and grabbing your attention, one of my fave posts... I am definitely a color lover!!!!
