Wood and White Swedish Home

Sköna Hem 4.25.08

We first noticed this home from Swedish design magazine Sköna Hem because of the photo (below) showing our current obsession, the String Pocket by Nisse Strinning. When we looked around a little more, we found other things we've loved (and blogged) including mod blue tile, a wood and white neutral scheme, and a round table with Danish Modern chairs.

We love the round white table with Danish modern chairs, very similar to the look Janel suggested for a good question sent in by AT reader Kate.

The blue blacksplash in the photo on the right is similar to the Lush Blend Horizon Tile from ModWalls, sourced here.

The hallway dresser offers extra storage space without crowding the bedroom. We also love the unusual stair rail.

Our favorite shelf - the String Pocket!

there are other vintage shelves similar to the string shelves:

They are a shelving system by TOMADO HOLLAND , a 1950's Dutch company

Exactly: white and wood, completely subtle and earthy. My kinda style.

I love that the owners were called "retro lovers" in the article.
