Have you ever gone on the Wright Plus housewalk? We are going this year for the first time. Last year, on housewalk day we were on the L and spoke to someone who was here all the way from Spain just to do the tours.
We decided then and there that we wouldn't miss it again...
Tickets ($85.) are on sale now for the full day event, being held on Saturday May 19th. These are guided tours of the interiors of eight Wright designed homes in Oak Park, plus admission to the Home and Studio, Unity Temple and the Robie House in Hyde Park.
Wright Plus sounds like a perfect Spring day: a train ride, walking from house to house under (hopefully) sunny skies and back to back inspired interiors for a whole afternoon...
All all the details are here.

I've done the tour twice, and walked that section of Oak Park on my own, using the inset guide on the laminated Artwise Chicago map.
Don't miss the Prairie Avenue tour in Chicagto, too. Not FLW, but a terrific intro to city history through architecture.
