Tell us the tools and resources you used for the project:
TOOLS
I used two kinds of sand paper, a fine grain for before staining and then an ultra fine grain for between coats. For the stain I used a wood finish (ebony) by Minwax that claims it "Penetrates, Stains and Seals." Finally I bought pulls for the drawers at Home Depot.

Share step by step instructions for how you completed the project:
1. Remove old pulls.
2. Sand dresser.
3. Stain dresser, first time.
4. Sand again.
5. Stain again.
6. Screw in new hardware.
7. Fill with belongings and enjoy!

I love the pulls you selected. Well done!

Having ignored Fall Colors, I may have to do the statistical analysis on January Jumpstart -- I'd swear we're awash in redone old dressers.
The dark colored wood makes your blue wall look more sophisticated, and the added touch of the topaz-colored picture frame is right on target. Good for you!

Is ebony a black stain...or a dark brown one?
