When we first spotted Kathryn's tiny office in AT:NY's Roommark Gallery, we bookmarked it right away. It's got a great combination of colors and makes nice use of space, but our favorite aspect of this office is the fact that it was created in a "trash room" off the kitchen...
Kitchen and dining room desks can be great space-savers in a small apartment. Unlike a bedroom desk, these workspaces are located in a spot where you're already active. Kitchens and dining rooms are communal areas, so if you have a big family, you might want to consider privacy issues before setting up shop there. Above (with links below), we rounded up a few great examples:
• 1 Kathryn's Tiny Home Office
• 2 Sunset Magazine via Declutterit
• 3 Dining Room Office from Living Etc.
• 4 Wes and Kayla's Dining Room Office
• 5 Martha's Canitoe Corners Kitchen Office
We have a small vintage desk in our dining room. Not so much used as a desk, but as storage for odds and ends in a big, useful room. We are also refinishing a larger one for more storage on another wall in the same room. I love them! See the black vintage metal desk here:
