Anthropologie's Plumage Lamp and Shade

plumage-lampshadeTOPPIC.jpgPerhaps we're partial to this lamp and shade because we had a couch in our childhood home which was festooned with peacocks. Whatever the case, we're totally feeling Anthropologie's Plumage lamp and shade.

plumage-shade-PIC2.jpg The Plumage Shade, $108.00-$148.00, features silk embroidered peacocks and is available in navy or cream.

The Plumage Lamp, $98.00, comes with a lovely, orange glass base. We love the look of the dark shade with the bright base.

Do any of you own the Plumage lamp or shade? What's it like in person?

I think you could save yourselves a little dough and buy the lamp base at Target, Ikea or Urban Outfitters for $20. The shade is the deal.

The sahde is nice - but $100 for that little base is outrageous.

I'd get something vintage instead.

I've been eyeing these for awhile now but I can't justify the expense of the larger shade and I don't really like the orange base.

I fell in love with this shade when I saw it in the store -- it's as gorgeous (or more) than comes across in the photos.

I just can't justify that kind of money for a lampshade. *sigh*

I do some embroidery... I'm halfway tempted to buy a cheap shade and try my own.
