Perhaps it was inspired by the iconic Saarinen table or its ubiquitous Tulip chairs? Although it seems to give a straight-up "holla" to the Spun lamp. Whatever the case, we are really enamored with CB2's Ada Table lamp.

There is just something we love about all-white pieces. For us, they seem to exude style and simple beauty. And the Ada table lamp is definitely a great take on classic white. The base is made with a lacquered resin and crowned with a cotton blend shade. Although we think it may be in need of a lampshade change, at only $59.95, the Ada is certainly more reachable than the Spun or its counterparts.
I have two of these lamps. The only negative is the quality. What you don't see in the pictures is that the body of the lamp is not that smooth. There are bumps and indentations in the wood that become more noticeable when the light is on. Still, there are a good value. I'm moving mine to the bedroom rather than the living room.

i have been drooling over sebastian wrong's spun lamp for some time... however this lamp just doesn't fill the void for me.
it lacks the graceful curves and lines of the lamps it borrows it's styling from. much like a bad knock-off of a knoll saarinen table, this comes up short for me.
i do agree on the all white pieces, and have added two of CB2's bauhaus lamps to my decor. it has an aluminum shade and feels really substantial. i really like this lamp and it's half price right now.
