Confetti, Bling and Shadow: Lighting by Front

Light (and shadow) as decoration. Swedish design collective Front makes lighting that is all about the effects of light. Their amazing mirror ball based Confetti chandelier showers the room with tiny squares of light. It strikes us as an updated version of the classic sputnik, redone for the post disco era.

The Shadow lamps have "hidden objects inside that make shade decorations appear on its surface".

The Bling pendant has a "highlight" permanently etched into the surface of the glass globe.

Clever, pretty and thought provoking work. The designers say, "In our new collection FOUND we have put together different ordinary already existing things and changed some details. We have let the small characteristics within one object become the essence of the new product."
