Inspiration: The gorgeous chandeliers at Sepia. We swooned a bit at the dramatic loveliness of the scale of this lighting and the photo-like effect of seeing the ornate chandeliers through the surrounding modern drum shade. The new restaurant, located in a former print factory, was designed by Gary Lee Partners. The chandeliers that the designers chose look like oversized versions of a Moooi lighting fixutre designed by Droog Design and Jurgen Bay in 1999.
Below the jump: The Hi - by Moooi and the Lo - a (slightly, ha!) less expensive chandelier/shade combo for only $298....

Horchow has a ton of the "drum over chandelier" shades. I did a recap of them on my little chunk o' blogland a week or so ago. Pretty! Pretty! Pricey! Pricey!

It looks like they did such a beautiful job decorating that restaurant. Their website is really nice as well.
How's the food?

These are everywhere in Europe, have been for a few years now. Almost played out even, they sell versions in discount stores here. But still love them.
