Instant Decorating: Clustering Tea Lights on a Table

1-11-09tealights.jpg

Whether you have a set of matching votives or just a bunch of loose tea light candles, arranging them on a table instantly ups the romance factor. Click below for a few ideas...

  • Use a cake stand or tray as a platform for clustered candles.
  • If you don't have votives on hand, subsitute ramekins or empty glass jars.
  • Arrange tea lights in a straight line in the center of the table for a minimalist look.
  • For tea light and votive sources, see this post.

Put tea lights in beautiful old porcelain teacups, with or without a matching saucer. The light glows through the delicate porcelain.

The tea light ideas are great!

Is it possible share the source of those fantastic goldfish print pillows? I cover them!

Me too! (Koi fabric.)

I wonder if it could be repurposed Japanese Boy's Day kite fabric? Or if it is yardage with that look??

I have seen dress goods with a similar design a few years ago at a regular sewing fabric store, but the scale was much smaller.
