I used to sell Addesso lighting at a store in Chicago, The idea and design are great especially coupled with the price. Although their definitely more conducive for temporary solutions not investment pieces. Upon semi close inspections their not made very well i.e.: rough seams, corners, unsanded, or polished sotter and the biggest complaint, wobbly bases. Rubin's has a pretty good selection (and catalogue) there on Lincoln just south of Belmont

Not crazy about how the round paper lanterns hang from the stems of the bases. That akward angle does not work at all with the round paper shade. Contrast these with the delicate stands of Noguchi's Akari lamps...

I own the Adesso Bellows Tree floor lamp and like it a lot - I agree that it's not an investment piece but it has worked well for me for the past 5 years or so.

Target carries adesso lamps and furniture and i have to say, for its price, its more than worth it. I did have to exchange a "touch" lamp because it turned on even when no one touched it but other than that the furniture and electrics held up past my expectations.

I've owned the Adesso Kyoto floor lamp for about 10 years now and I still love it. I really like the company, and I know from attending various furniture shows that (at least back 10 yrs ago) the owners/designers were really down to earth, it seemed to be a quality small company. Yes, the materials are not highest quality, thus the affordability. But I don't mind. My Adesso lamp looks just as new as it did 10 yrs ago. And I get compliments on it all the time.

I have the Adesso Jumbo architect floor lamp and I think it's great. It was my long-researched solution to having no overhead lighting in a dark apartment. I wanted to feel like I had overhead lighting even though I couldn't rewire my rental. I HATE feeling like i'm in a cave while at home. Got this a couple years ago and love it still.
