If your place needs some pick-me-ups, perhaps focusing on subtle details is the answer (if you weren't up for the full Cure this last time around). New knobs, update the curtain rods, and maybe some new switch plates. We read about Diva dimmers in an older issue of Chicago Home and these come highly recommended.
* Features large paddle switch and small slide dimmer
* Built-in soft glow night light visible in the dark
* Use with standard 3-way switches for easy, economical installation

We have Lutrons as well - not the same one as the one featured but the one touch...it is soo cool. Feels like we are on a space ship when you can control how quickly or slowly you want your lights to dim...

We like this invisible lightswitch from British company, Forbes and Lomax as well. It's transparency allows your wallpaper or paint color to show through. http://www.blinkdecor.com/renovatorsroundtable/?p=113

I have these in my kitchen and dining room and they are great - and look good, too.

I don't recommend these at all. I started replacing all my switches with these and admit I loved them for the first 1-2 years until they started failing one by one. Eventually rather than waiting for the rest to fail I replaced them. Perhaps they are more durable now?
