Lytegem Lamp

2007-04-23-lytegem.jpgA classic reissued.
A commemorative limited edition of Michael Lax's Lytegem Lamp (1965) is being produced by Lightolier.

It is usable as either a table task lamp or it can be wall mounted as a sconce (photo below the jump) making it a good choice for small bedrooms, with even smaller bedside tables.

2007-04-23-walllamp.jpgThe neck telescopes - it is adjustable from 6.5 to 15" in length. The head swivels a full 360 degrees. Light intensity is variable from low to high a the flip of a switch.

Firmly in the realm of "happy" forward-looking sixties design, we think it stands the test of time; it's both good looking and smart.

$125. each at DWR.
