Milky Way Collection from Bright Lights Little City

At the Renegade Craft Fair this weekend, we found a few things. One of our favorites was the Milky Way Collection from Bright Lights Little City. Heather blogged these lamps back in 2006, but after seeing them again at Renegade we decided to revisit the collection.

Handmade by Heather Wells, these lamps look beautiful on or off. The photo above shows the Horizon model in Kite and Valentine shown off (left) and on (right). The table lamps ($75) are woven from paper and coated in a flame retardant spray.

Also check out the Lush Collection made from cocktail umbrellas. Lamps are available in pendant or table models.

I'd seen her work online and didn't think that much of these, until I got to her booth after dusk on Saturday. You really have to see these (and the umbrella ones) illuminated in low light. Surprisingly beautiful.
