Restoration Hardware Silk Shades

2007-09-15-drum.jpg

Need some shade? If a lamp re-furbish or modernization is part of your Cure this fall, you might consider Restoration Hardware. When we got the new catalog last week, we saw that they carry a full line of silk shades - seven shapes, nine colors, six sizes - we're guessing most shade-needy lamps that you might have hanging about could be topped off...and they are currently all on sale.

Shapes available are drum style (a nice clean, modern choice, shown above), pagoda, english-barrel, empire, box-pleat, bell and flare. Sizes range from small (6.5 inches diameter, drum style, $12) to a generous large (19.5 inches diameter, drum style, $55).

Colors are bright white, white, ivory, goldenrod, flax (very nice!), silver sage, lichen, chocolate and sangria.

We have two table lamps that have been in need of nicer shades for a while now - we plan to go check these out and are hoping that the quality is good.

All the lighting from Restoration Hardware is currently on sale as well - savings of up to 30% through October 21.

These are lovely and this tip couldn't come at a better time. I have a vintage lamp with an ugly shade that makes me angry every time I look at it...so long, ugly shade!
