ULOs (Unidentified Luminous Objects) by Angele Riguidel

Since Spring Cleaning Month is upon us, we really should be focusing on vacuum cleaners rather than lamps made out of vintage vacuums, otherwise known as ULOs. But we saw these on Popgadget and just had to share.

While we're not totally sure how we feel about them (they remind us of a cross between big camping flashlights and car headlights), we do like the idea of turning an old household item into a newly functioning and decorative object. Handmade from Electrolux vacuum canisters by French designer Angele Riguidel, the lamps go for $350 a pop. Any thoughts out there?

Can't fathom in any universe paying $350 for a glorified flashlight. But the concept is interesting.
