website makes us want to crawl back in bed. The first thing you see on the homepage is sheets: crisp lines, rich colors, and "Italian" written all over it...this is quite a spot for luxe bedding. In addition to furniture, lighting, window treatments and more, Restoration Hardware is all about Italian bedding.

For example, this Satin-Stitch Hotel Bedding (pictured left, $14-$349), includes 210-thread-count pieces with embroidered color on a white background, and the "easy-care finish makes it all crease-resistant."

Other items of note: A reversible down mattress pad ($139-$229): "Presenting a mattress pad that has two responsibilities: to insulate and pamper; Smooth cotton cambric shell is filled with hypoallergenic European white goose down." Ahh.

Feels like, especially in the Lincoln Park shopping mecca on North Ave. and Clybourn, Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel really bypass Restoration Hardware in popularity for furniture and other items. We've never purchased anything from RH, but are curious to hear what you all have to suggest. Any reviews?

You read my mind! I was just on the phone with Luigi discussing this!

The participation of the various high-end Italian linen companies was of particular interest to me. The prices are fantastic - especially on the "sale" items. I'm actually surprised to see so much of it on sale...

If only we could get these "luxury" lines for twin beds! Some of us are all grown up in style, but unfortunately are still in a twin due to space limitations. :( If nothing else - guest rooms many times have twin beds in them and I wonder how difficult it is to find luxury bedding for you guests, so they aren't sleeping on kids sheets. Oh well... just my current design dilemma.

My bf and I splurged on a chocolate brown duvet cover from here. We absolutely love it, despite waiting for 6 weeks for it, because it was back ordered.
