In our age of globalization, there are still differences between our living quarters from city to city around the world. Guess what city each of these living rooms is from: One's from London, New York, Paris and Tokyo. Can you tell which is which? Don't look below until you've guessed: answers are after the jump...

I flip flopped NYC and Paris.

Tokyo was easy to pinpoint.
The other 3 that were far more difficult to determine.

I think this would be a great study in greater quantity and different styles. Photographs of 100 different living rooms from 4 or 5 different major cities (maybe the same as above?). It would be very neat to see what varies and what doesn't from room to room, and if people could tell what cities they were from! I bet it would be difficult!!

Tokyo was easy. I figured #4 for Paris because it seems that the French love to crowd a bunch of stuff in small spaces.
NYC and London were a bit more difficult but I figured NYC for #1 b/c of the flooring and London for #2 b/c of the overstuffed furniture.

I guessed right but thought NYC & London closest.

I did it but barely. Had to flip Paris and NY at the last moment. The accessories in room 4 changed my mind

I thought it was a trick question, and that they were all NYC. I picked:
1. Grammercy Park
2. Upper East Side
3. Tribeca
4. Central Park West

Got 'em all right!

Got them all right! First two most similar but you could pick the London one by the quality of light coming through the window. Tokyo was easy (so small - such clean lines) and so was Paris - they love their animal prints and err on the side of being much more decorative.

Got em right too, although none of them were what I would think would be the quintessential living room for each city. And I agree - this would be a really cool art piece - living rooms from around the world, with hundreds of cities!
And midwestdiva, we appreciate your honesty!
