Wraparound Bookcases, Five Ways

Need lots of storage space? Wraparound bookcases can double your available shelving, and they can also give a room some definition. Wraparounds don't have to be confined to a wall, either. In small spaces, we've seen this style of shelving applied to sofas, ceilings, and even staircases...

Hooray for #4. I loved it the first time I saw it on here, and I still do. Makes me wish I had a staircase.

Hi there! First of all I would like to say that this is my first comment here. I have subscribed the apartment Therapy in january and since then my best pleasure of the day is to open my mailbox. So thanks for making my day even better! I love this isea of bookshelves and the images above are just the way I want my new lounge area to be. Great inspirations. I have also seen this sort of wrapabouts in stairs but this style in the picture is absolutely fantastic. Lucky owner! But what about the dust? (mmm).
A big hug from New Zealand.

Is the second picture IKEA Billy's with doors? I have them (without doors) wrapping corners in my home library -- I love the little tracks that make the angles work out right, and you can't beat the price for what becomes an almost custom look.

The fourth one blew my mind. And almost made me vomit until I figured out what angle I was looking at.

heheh the fourth one is a winner for sure! I love most of them anyway, I'm a HUGE sucker for libraries and any sort of floor to ceiling shelving... I just wish I could figure out where the clock came from in #5. That's just soooo cool!

Does anyone have any idea where the wine rack on the wall in the background of the last image is from?

Wine rack is from Ikea, I believe.

Ayup, definitely Ikea -- it's about four of their wine racks, hung one above the other.

The tables around the sofa are a great idea! So cute and anti-obnoxious. Plus they double as tables for photos and decor. Love it!

MayaOnFiya, k02 - Thanks very much for the info, the wine racks are indeed from Ikea, but it looks like they don't sell them any more, but I've found them on eBay.

Thanks again for your help
