Day of the Dead Skulls

2006-10-13-chocolate.jpgOoooh, spooky.

We thought this was a perfect first post to kick off Friday the 13th. Beautifully molded (and just slightly creepy) candy Day of the Dead skulls ($8.) are available from local chocolatier, Vosges.

We had the Vosges catalog on our travels around town yesterday and the photo of these guys is on the back. Three people spontaneously remarked on how cool they looked, so it seems Vosges has captured the zeitgeist with these treats.

The three types of chocolate are Red Fire (ancho and chipotle chili, cinnamon and dark chocolate), Barcelona (yum! smoked almonds, sea salt and dark milk chocolate) and Blanca (venezuelan plain white chocolate).

Packaged in a clear bag with black ribbon, these would make a decadent Halloween display that you can really enjoy once November rolls around.

Available from Vosges Boutiques, located on Armitage, Michigan Ave., in Soho and Las Vegas, at selected department stores or online. Click here for locations.
