Look! A Chandelier With A Twist

While visiting our local Farmer's Market this weekend this chandelier caught our attention. Sure, it's giant and pink, but that's not what had us taking design notes...

This chandelier calls Succotash in Kansas City home. It truly sets the tone for this fresh fare, eclectic eatery.

So aside from the color statement, what caught our attention? Usually in chandeliers of this style, more traditional longer, bent tip style bulbs are used. But this bold lighting display uses small round bulbs that help balance its bright color and help break that traditional mold. We thought it was a fun twist to an old classic, that could ramp up your next chandelier find!

Do you like the change of bulbs? Or would you have preferred it with the longer, more traditional style?

i like the round bulbs - makes it more modern. i also like "its" spelled without the apostrophe, unless it is a short form of "it is."

The pink is a little much for me (and my retinas), but I like the round bulbs. I'd love to see a chandelier like this in a darker, more subtle color. I'd use the round bulbs and fun kaarsKokers to keep it fresh.

If you like the chandelier, you'd love their food more. The chandelier is very well fitting with the rest of the place.

I am not sure about the light bulbs for me, but they work fab for the chandelier that is hung. Love the pink. It is great that I am seeing so much color around, it make me smile.

The pink color is a little much for me personally, but i love the bulbs. i think i want them to be just a little larger, though, to keep the proportions right, or something. Cool idea.

personally, I never use flame bulbs. I think they just look tacky...round bulbs or even oblong appliance bulbs can really change the whole look of an otherwise mundane chandelier.

I don't find the shocking pink shocking at all. In fact I think it looks great, especially in the context of the color story being told in the space. What I do find shocking is how many color conservatives post on apartment therapy. Less beige in the world is a good thing.

That's super easy to do! I had a tacky brass job in my new house so we took it down, cleaned it, primed it, and painted it. I put in new round light bulbs and it turned out awesome! http://geekdetails.com/blog/?p=1107
