Two AT:Chicago readers and regular commentors popped up on Centerstage's
"You Are What You Blog" column this week. A native New Yorker,
Mike Doyle discusses his carless life (through
Chicago Carless) in downtown Chicago saying, "Downtown Chicago is one of the best places to live in urban America.

It's a wonderful, maddening, loyalty-inducing experience that, even today, a lot of Chicagoans still don't really understand."
He also mentions another local blogger extraordinaire, Devyn Caldwell, aka Looper, and his photo documentation of all things LOOP.
We are what we blog, too: Link to Apartment Therapy's blog interview on Centerstage here. Devyn, are you next in line as a Centerstage "subject"??
Congrats, guys!
Thanks Heather!
This was certainly a nice surprise while doing my lunch-time surfing. Mike was thrilled when I called him, I am sure he will post a comment when he gets back to the office.
Thanks, Heather! A nice surprise to discover while managing to wirelessly surf on my Macbook from the back of a school bus in the middle of North Lawndale on a community garden work outing.
It's really funny. When I finally gave in and admitted to just loving on downtown Chicago, and really, the city in general, my blog just struck a chord. From a New York perspective, this city, downtown or elsewhere within its borders, has a quality of life that Gothamites would consider to be impossible to achieve. At least in a city as big and with as much going on as Chicago.
I meant what I wrote about D. I've known him for a year and a half and his photographic work still knocks my socks off.
So does AT: Chicago, for that matter :-)
